Language technology – technology for the analysis and interpretation of natural language – forms a key component of smart search engines, personal digital assistants, and many other innovative applications. The goal of this course is to give an introduction to language technology as an application area and its basic methods. The course focuses on techniques that process text.
The course website has been updated for the Spring 2026 session. More material (lecture slides etc.) will be added throughout the course.
- Attention: Note that the course introduction on Tuesday, 20/1, is in KMC Sydney, which is opposite the campus near the bus stop “Nobeltorget”.
If you are planning to take the retake exam for 729G17, the new information on this website does not apply to you. You can go to the old exam page to find the study materials and practice questions under the old course structure. You can expect the 729G17 exam to follow the same format as before.
This only applies for re-exams in 729G17. This is because the course code was discontinued. If you took the course as 729G86 or TDP030, your exam will follow the new course contents!
